The Boyz’s Young-hoon signs with Namu Actors for acting pursuits
The Boyz member Young-hoon has signed with Namu Actors, a major South Korean agency, to develop his acting career alongside group commitments.
Young-hoon of The Boyz has signed an exclusive contract with Namu Actors, a talent agency specialising in film and television work. The agreement was announced on 7 August.
Namu Actors said in a statement that it would "support Young-hoon's growth as an actor without reservation" whilst maintaining "active involvement" in The Boyz's music activities. The agency added that it remains committed to fostering "meaningful moments" between Young-hoon and the group's fanbase.
Young-hoon debuted with The Boyz in 2017 and has steadily built a profile as an actor. His breakout role came in the web drama Romance Revolution, where his visual similarity to the original webtoon character and nuanced performance drew attention. He has since appeared in SBS's One the Woman as a younger version of the lead character, and made a special appearance in tvN's Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, showcasing range beyond his idol work.
Namu Actors' roster includes Lee Joon-gi, Park Eun-bin and Song Kang, among others. The move allows Young-hoon to pursue acting opportunities whilst maintaining his commitment to The Boyz.
