The Miami Heat accidentally published a YouTube link to a live stream titled "LeBron James Introductory Press Conference" scheduled for July 27 before deleting it hours later, according to reporting from The Athletic. A team spokesperson confirmed Tuesday night that the post was unintentional, stating the social media department had prepared the stream in advance in case James signed with the franchise and needed to explain his decision to fans.

The mishap occurred as free agency speculation around the 41-year-old forward intensified. James, who became an unrestricted free agent after eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, is considering multiple destinations including Miami, Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Golden State. He averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game in his final season with Los Angeles.

Rich Paul, James' agent at Klutch Sports, emphasized patience in public comments made the same morning. Speaking on ESPN's "The Pat McAfee Show," Paul said: "Obviously, it's his choice. This is a very important choice for him, and you cannot rush it. I think he's earned the right to not be rushed." He reiterated similar messaging on his podcast "Game Over" the previous night, stating "We're not going to be rushed. It's his choice to make, and when he makes the choice, he'll make it."

Miami previously signed James in 2010 after his televised "Decision" announcement, a period when he won two championships and two MVP awards alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
