Kim Soo-hyun to meet fans in Manila this October
Kim Soo-hyun will meet fans at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila on 2 October, drawing approximately 20,000 attendees as part of a public return.

Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun will hold a fan event in the Philippines on 2 October, marking another step in his return to public appearances following a period of reduced activity. According to Yonhap, the gathering will take place at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, with approximately 20,000 fans expected to attend.
The event is being organised by Bench, a Philippines-based lifestyle and fashion brand, and follows an advertising campaign the actor completed for the label earlier this year. In a promotional video shared on Bench's social media channels this month, Soo-hyun said: "I've missed you all so much. I'm truly happy to be back."
The announcement comes after a period of scrutiny following allegations raised in March 2025 by conservative YouTuber Kim Se-ui through his channel Hover Lab. The YouTuber had alleged improprieties in Soo-hyun's relationship with late actress Kim Sae-ron, who was found dead at her home in February 2025 at the age of 24. In response, Soo-hyun held a press conference that month, acknowledging he had dated the actress while denying claims their relationship occurred when she was a minor. He subsequently filed defamation complaints against both the YouTuber and the actress's family.
Last month, police dropped an underage dating charge against Soo-hyun that had been brought by the actress's family, citing insufficient evidence. Separately, authorities arrested Kim Se-ui over allegations of spreading false and fabricated information about the actor, according to Yonhap.
The Manila event signals Soo-hyun's continued effort to re-engage with audiences internationally. His agency has characterised recent legal developments as validating the actor's account of events.
