Kim Min Ha To Host 2026 Busan International Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Kim Min Ha has been selected to host the opening ceremony of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, according to an official announcement on 31 July. The festival organisers cited her as "an actress currently displaying the clearest growth" in their statement.

The 31st edition runs from 6 October to 15 October across ten days. Min Ha's appointment marks recognition of her trajectory since her 2016 debut, which accelerated following her breakout role in the Apple TV+ series Pachinko, where she played the lead character Min Jin across multiple seasons and garnered international acclaim.

Recently, the Seoul-based actress has featured in a string of Korean television productions. She starred in Light Shop, Way Back Love, and the family drama Typhoon Family, broadening her range across genres.
