Ji Sung proposes an audacious alliance to Park Byung Eun in The Apartment Job
Ji Sung's character proposes a shocking partnership to Park Byung Eun's character in a pivotal scene from JTBC's *The Apartment Job*.

JTBC's The Apartment Job is ramping up the stakes. In newly released preview stills, Ji Sung's character Park Hae Kang calls for a secretive meeting with Lee Choong Won, played by Park Byung Eun, according to Soompi. What unfolds is a moment of calculated tension: at night, Park Hae Kang lays out a bold offer, asking Lee Choong Won to become his right-hand man.
The drama follows Park Hae Kang, a former Oasis Gang boss, as he runs for president of an apartment complex's resident council, ostensibly to access the building's hidden reserve fund. The twist: he joins forces with other residents to dismantle the corruption that has long plagued the development.
In the stills, Lee Choong Won meets Park Hae Kang's proposition with a measured gaze, as though he is already seeing through the older man's designs. The two lock eyes, neither yielding, the air between them thick with unspoken calculation. The production team highlighted the calibre of both performances, noting that "Ji Sung and Park Byung Eun proved themselves to be acting masters on set," per Soompi. "As soon as rehearsal began, the two actors instantly vanished into their characters, and they displayed flawless teamwork as they exchanged subtle smiles and cold, probing gazes."
Off-camera, the chemistry shifted entirely. "In contrast to the suffocating tension of the situation in the drama, once the cameras stopped rolling, they took care of one another with bright smiles," the production team added, "and they boosted the staff's morale on set with their warm charm."
The episode airs on 1 August at 22:40 KST. Viewers will soon discover whether Lee Choong Won accepts Park Hae Kang's gambit—and what that alliance means for the apartment complex's power struggle.
