Jam City Returns with Introspective Album My World

UK producer Jam City, the moniker of Jack Latham, is releasing his new album My World on 23 September via Mad Decent. The project follows his 2023 release Jam City Presents EFM and marks a more personal creative direction for the artist.

The title track, which premiered ahead of the album's full launch, features vocalist Aidan alongside producers Bawo and Ox Eye. The song showcases a queasy R&B sensibility that sets the tone for the broader sonic palette of the record. A 10-minute dub mix of the track is currently available online, alongside a club remix released simultaneously with the announcement.

In a statement accompanying the release, Latham described the album's genesis as an inward-looking process. "I just went deeper and deeper into my own world on this album, and ended up with the most 'me' thing I've ever made," he said. This introspective approach underpins the project's eight additional tracks, which feature a roster of guest vocalists and producers including Solv, Luna Avelar, and Gianna.

Latham emphasised the collaborative nature of the finished work, crediting his contributors in an Instagram post. "Big love to all the collaborators that turned this little thing into an album. Feel like it's probably the best thing I've ever done."
