Brazil Hosts the 2027 Women’s World Cup in June-July. Here’s How to Prepare.

Brazil will host the FIFA Women's World Cup from June 24 to July 25, 2027, marking the tournament's return to South America for the first time since 2023, when Australia and New Zealand jointly hosted it.

The decision came after a voting process in May 2024, where Brazil prevailed against 14 competing nations including Chile, Italy, Mexico, and a Nordic collective bid.

The Eight Host Cities

Matches will take place across eight Brazilian cities and their stadiums:

  • Belo Horizonte (Estádio Mineirão)
  • Brasília (Estádio Nacional)
  • Fortaleza (Arena Castelão)
  • Porto Alegre (Estádio Beira-Rio)
  • Recife (Arena de Pernambuco)
  • Rio de Janeiro (Estádio do Maracanã)
  • Salvador (Arena Fonte Nova)
  • São Paulo (Arena Itaquera)

The full match schedule has not yet been finalized, though Brazil has confirmed these venues.

Securing Your Tickets

Tickets are not yet on sale. FIFA expects demand to be exceptionally high once they become available. Fans interested in attending can register for updates through FIFA's official channels to receive notification when the ticket window opens. Early registration is advisable given historical trends: previous Women's World Cup tournaments have sold out key matches within hours of tickets becoming available.

What Comes Next

The 2027 tournament will be followed by the next Men's World Cup in 2030, co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with the opening three matches held in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay. Bidding processes for the 2031 and 2035 Women's World Cups launched in March 2025.
