Blackpink’s 10th anniversary marred by event mishaps and dating rumours
Blackpink's 10th anniversary celebration stumbles with event management issues, member apologies, and fresh dating rumours.

Blackpink's decade milestone has been overshadowed by operational stumbles and member controversies. On 8 August, YG Entertainment held a 10th anniversary meet-and-greet at Seoul's National Museum of Korea, but announced the event only two days prior with minimal details. The label initially stated "only some members" would attend due to scheduling conflicts, creating confusion among fans. Though all four members eventually confirmed attendance, the event lasted roughly 30 minutes with just 40 invited guests, leaving fans feeling the occasion lacked meaningful interaction.
Jisoo addressed the backlash directly, saying, "I knew how significant the 10th anniversary is, but there were communication problems. I'm sorry." She was later photographed with tears after the event. Rosé issued a statement on her personal account: "I understood how you all felt. I'm so sorry we couldn't make that day as happy as we'd hoped."
Further complications emerged. The museum event required partial closures and disrupted public workshops, prompting the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to consider an audit. Separately, Lisa faced renewed dating speculation as social media posts circulated showing her with Thai actor Bright Phongpisit across multiple cities—including what observers claimed was his mother's birthday gathering. Lisa previously faced relationship reports in 2023 involving LVMH heir Frédéric Arnault, though those were later disputed.
