Teach You a Lesson enters Netflix’s all-time top 10 for non-English shows
The Korean school drama joins Squid Game as the second Korean series to reach Netflix's all-time top 10 for non-English shows, ranking No. 10 with 60.2 million views.

The action drama "Teach You a Lesson" has achieved a milestone for Korean television, becoming only the second Korean series to break into Netflix's all-time top 10 chart for most-viewed non-English shows, according to Yonhap. The series ranked No. 10 with 60.2 million views eight weeks after launching on 5 June.
Only the "Squid Game" franchise has preceded it on the chart; all three seasons of Netflix's global hit currently occupy positions one through three.
Based on the webtoon "Get Schooled," the 10-part series follows a team of inspectors at the fictional Education Rights Protection Bureau—Na Hwa-jin (Kim Mu-yeol), Im Han-rim (Jin Ki-joo) and Bong Geun-dae (Pyo Ji-hoon)—who investigate school bullying and hold perpetrators accountable. The premise has resonated internationally by pairing realistic storylines with a cathartic narrative that prioritises victim protection whilst blending comedy and action sequences.
On Netflix's weekly non-English chart for the week of 20–26 July, "Teach You a Lesson" ranked No. 7 with 2.3 million views. The success reflects broader momentum for Korean content on the platform: five Korean titles appeared in that same week's top 10, including "The East Palace" at No. 2, "Agent Kim Reactivated" at No. 3, "Spooky in Love" at No. 5, and "The Apartment Job" at No. 8.
The series' ascent to Netflix's all-time top 10 demonstrates the sustained appeal of locally inflected stories about institutional accountability and justice. Where international dramas often centre on crime or espionage, "Teach You a Lesson" derives tension from school-based conflict—a universal setting that has proven particularly magnetic to viewers in Asia and beyond.
