Rachel Chinouriri announces second album with synth-pop single

Rachel Chinouriri has unveiled her second album, 'I Think I Spoke Too Soon', alongside the lead single 'One Song Away From Crying'. The record arrives on 16 October via Parlophone and Atlas Artists, marking her follow-up to the critically lauded 2024 debut 'What A Devastating Turn of Events'.

The new single, a synthpop-tinged reflection on a pivotal dancefloor moment, explores the tension between outward confidence and internal conflict. Chinouriri described the track as capturing "the precipice of a night out where you know you need to leave", framing it as a deeper meditation on self-worth rather than surface-level club experience. "It's less about the night itself but more about a reflection of a deeper internal conflict with your self value that you haven't looked at yet," she explained.

Recorded across London, Hereford and Los Angeles, the album thematically centres on reinvention and self-forgiveness. Chinouriri emphasised that personal change is possible at any moment: "My core thing is you can change who you are at any moment and you can forgive yourself at any moment."

Chinouriri has also announced a string of headline shows, kicking off in Los Angeles on 26 August and continuing through September in Dublin, London, Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam. She will support Gracie Abrams across US dates in December 2026 and headline Australian venues in February 2027. Earlier this month, she performed at Wolf Alice's headline show at London's Finsbury Park.
