C9 Entertainment, home to K-pop group EPEX, has announced it will pursue legal action against those posting malicious content targeting its artists online.

On 30 July, the agency released a statement warning of strong civil and criminal measures. According to C9 Entertainment, it has identified serious violations including the spread of false information, defamation, and insults across multiple platforms, particularly X and YouTube.

"We have already collected relevant evidence based on our own monitoring and reports from fans," the agency said in a statement. "After conducting a thorough review, we will pursue all available civil and criminal legal action."

The agency emphasised a zero-tolerance approach. "We will respond firmly, without any settlement or leniency, to the repeated posting of malicious content, the organised spread of false information, and any acts that damage our artists' reputation and dignity," C9 Entertainment said.

This move reflects a broader pattern in the K-pop industry, where management companies increasingly take legal steps to combat online harassment and coordinated defamation campaigns. C9 Entertainment committed to continuing its monitoring efforts, pledging consistent action against illegal online activities to safeguard its roster.
